About the role
The Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center seeks a Program Leader I to oversee a statewide juvenile delinquency prevention program. Reporting to senior leadership, you will plan, organize, and manage program activities, partnerships, and resources to advance the Center’s mission.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement program strategies, standards, and performance measures.
- Coordinate with government agencies, schools, law‑enforcement, courts, and community organizations.
- Manage program budgets, requisitions, accounting, and reporting requirements.
- Supervise program staff and oversee marketing, communications, events, trainings, and database management.
- Collaborate with the Research Division to integrate community assessments, data, and evaluation findings into program planning.
- Identify funding opportunities and support program expansion initiatives.
Required profile
- Relevant higher‑education degree (e.g., public administration, criminal justice, social work) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in program planning, administration, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills with ability to produce accurate reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building partnerships.
