Program Associate – 12‑Month Position

About the role

The Vegetable Research Station is seeking a Program Associate for a 12‑month term. Reporting to the Resident Director, the associate will support all aspects of field plot research and ensure smooth operation of the station.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute field plot research activities, including equipment operation, plot planning, soil preparation, planting, spraying, irrigation, maintenance, and harvesting.
• Maintain detailed records of all research activities and data collection.
• Supervise classified and seasonal hourly employees, providing guidance and oversight.
• Oversee the maintenance of research equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate closely with project leaders from various departments to align research objectives.

Required profile

• Experience in agricultural field research or a related discipline.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate staff.
• Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.
• Capacity to work independently in an outdoor, day‑shift environment.
