Program Associate – Greenhouse Research

About the role

The Division of Agriculture is seeking a Program Associate to support applied research in greenhouse and horticulture production. The role involves working within a collaborative team to advance knowledge on edible and ornamental crops grown in containers and hydroponic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement experiments focused on greenhouse and hydroponic crops.
• Conduct day‑to‑day plant care, including planting, pruning, and monitoring environmental conditions.
• Collect, record, and analyze experimental data.
• Prepare research reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain greenhouse facilities and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 40 lb periodically and work in hot, humid greenhouse conditions.
• Willingness to work outdoors during summer months as needed.
• Commitment to a regular work schedule within normal business hours.

Required skills

• Experience with experimental design and data analysis.
• Strong written communication for research reporting.
• Knowledge of greenhouse operations and plant care.
