Production Technician I – Entry Level Manufacturing

About the role

Boise Cascade is seeking motivated individuals for a Production Technician I position at its non‑climate‑controlled mill in Lena, LA. This entry‑level role offers on‑the‑job training and a clear path for advancement within a leading wood products manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety and environmental policies.
• Assist team members throughout production runs.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the floor area during normal production and break‑outs.
• Move heavy objects, clean equipment or machinery, and load or unload material.
• Serve as a relief operator covering breaks and vacations.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Working knowledge of basic math fundamentals.
• Flexibility to work any shift and willingness to learn new roles.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
