Product Specialist & Structuring Analyst – US SCIB Markets

About the role

Santander’s SCIB Markets Financing team is looking for a Product Specialist & Structuring Analyst to support the growth of its U.S. client franchise. The role blends client coverage, transaction execution, financing analysis and the development of analytical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring, pricing and execution of total return swaps, repo, margin lending and other secured financing transactions.
• Analyze transaction economics, collateral, liquidity, concentration, leverage and counter‑party exposure.
• Determine financing terms such as pricing, haircuts, margin requirements, tenor and structural protections.
• Monitor portfolio exposures, collateral values, margin levels and market developments.
• Build and enhance models, dashboards and automated processes to improve pricing, risk management and desk efficiency.
• Coordinate execution with internal partners across Risk, Legal, Operations, Finance and other functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in financing credit assets, markets, repo, securities financing or structured credit.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Legal work authorization in the United States without need for employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Programming and data‑analysis skills, preferably Python.
• Experience building models, monitoring tools and automation scripts.
