Product Engineer (R37) – AI Healthcare Platform

About the role

R1 is a healthcare revenue cycle company that combines revenue cycle expertise with technology such as analytics, AI and intelligent automation. R37 is its AI innovation lab, building the Phare OS platform that improves pre-bill workflows (authorization, utilization management, documentation and coding) and prevents claim denials. As a Product Engineer, you will turn complex healthcare workflows into intuitive, AI-powered products, building full-stack applications and working with customers and cross-functional teams. The position is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deliver AI-powered products using React, Node.js, Python and modern full-stack development practices.
• Partner with customers, designers and researchers to understand user needs and turn them into product solutions.
• Design experiences that make sophisticated AI outputs and automations easy to understand and adopt.
• Own features end-to-end, from ideation and technical design through deployment, iteration and scaling.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on React development.
• Demonstrated experience building and operating production-grade full-stack applications.
• Proven ability to own projects from requirements and design through deployment and optimization.
• Experience collaborating with product, design and customer-facing teams.
• Passion for AI-powered applications and for incorporating AI into real workflows.

What we offer

• Base pay of $105,000-$202,500 depending on level (L2 $120k-$150k, L3 $140k-$220k, Senior $140k-$255k, Staff $140k-$300k).
