Product Designer

About the role

Ramp is building smart infrastructure for finance teams and needs product designers who own outcomes, not just artifacts. You will work with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define problems, explore solutions, validate them with customers, and ship experiences that change behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Own product work end‑to‑end: partner with PM and engineering to define problems, explore solutions, validate concepts, and ship improvements that move key metrics.
• Start in an LLM: use Claude or similar tools to draft PRDs, surface risks, and align quickly with the team.
• Validate assumptions with self‑serve research: talk directly with customers, run quick tests, and treat research as a velocity tool.
• Prototype using AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code, guiding AI‑generated code while ensuring UX quality.
• Translate validated concepts into Figma for full‑state coverage, system alignment, and production readiness.

Required profile

• Experience as a product designer on complex, systems‑heavy products (ideally B2B or fintech).
• Ownership of projects from problem definition through launch and iteration.
• Active use of LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT) in the design workflow.
• Comfort collaborating directly with engineers and product managers.
• Based in or willing to relocate to NYC.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI design tools: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code.
• Strong Figma skills for system design and polish.
• Portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, and craft.
