Product Designer (Bothell, WA)

About the role

As a Product Designer working on Philips Oral Healthcare’s solutions, you will join a global multidisciplinary team focused on creating oral care products and experiences that improve people’s lives. The role centers on designing physical consumer products and hardware experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate commercial briefs into user needs, pain points, and design opportunities while monitoring product trends and competitive landscape.
• Define design problems, success criteria, and requirements; generate ideas through sketching and ideation and evolve them into cohesive concepts (form, color, material, finish, interaction).
• Create high‑quality renderings, presentations, and specifications (3D CAD, CMF) and communicate concepts to stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering, interaction, packaging, and global design teams to ensure usability, feasibility, and alignment from concept through production.
• Guide junior designers and agency partners, and lead design project evaluation to capture learnings for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of product or industrial design experience, with consumer electronics background.
• Strong affinity for designing with form, color, material, and finishing.
• Ability to manage and lead design projects independently under tight timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a creative, empathetic approach.
