Procurement Specialist – Indirect Materials & Services

About the role

The Procurement Specialist is a critical purchasing position focused on indirect materials and services for Nestlé’s manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role drives cost‑effective sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate purchases of supplies, equipment, and services to achieve the lowest total cost.
• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, assign approved suppliers, and ensure correct account coding.
• Lead team meetings to align decisions and optimize spend on indirect materials and services (S&IM).
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and corrective actions with Engineering.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with Nestlé purchasing policies.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements for localized S&IM purchases and identify cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in business, finance, or an analytical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, manufacturing, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Basic accounting knowledge and strong analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Basic accounting competency.
