PRN Registered Nurse – Neonatal ICU (Monroe, LA)

About the role

This 12‑week PRN assignment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Monroe, Louisiana, is for a registered nurse who will act as a leader in delivering patient care. The RN will follow the nursing process, adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards, and support the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide high‑quality patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Promote customer satisfaction and employee morale through professional nursing practices.
• Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy, cultural diversity, and individual needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical specialty certification preferred.
