PRN Radiologic Technologist - OH Elmwood

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to provide individualized health‑care services to patients of diverse backgrounds. You will work closely with physicians and support staff to ensure safe, high‑quality imaging throughout each patient visit.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, obtain consent, and answer questions.
• Operate radiographic equipment and radiology information systems, including placement of tubes, IVs, and administration of contrast.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission and perform quality‑control checks in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the company’s data systems and assist with departmental operations such as inventory and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration and state licensure by the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment; prior health‑care experience preferred.
