PRN Pre-Op Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

The Nashua Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Pre‑Op Licensed Practical Nurse to support patient intake and preparation. This on‑site, as‑needed position provides critical nursing care before surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone triage to assess patient needs.
• Administer medications, including injections, and document all orders accurately.
• Identify and address patient and family education needs.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations in accordance with protocol.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the patient’s medical record.
• Facilitate patient flow to ensure efficient operation of the physician’s office.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Active state LPN license.
• One year of experience in a health‑care setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
