Private Equity Associate

About the role

Seaside Equity Partners is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its San Diego team. The associate will support the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to managing portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and execution of platform and add‑on acquisitions.
• Conduct business due diligence and in‑depth market research.
• Develop financial models and draft investment memoranda.
• Participate in site visits, management presentations and negotiations.
• Collaborate with portfolio company management teams on value‑creation initiatives.
• Source investments through thematic thesis development and external intermediaries.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity.
• Motivated self‑starter eager to contribute in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Team player with a high level of maturity.
• Excellent people and project management abilities.
