Print Shop Manager (Large-Format Production & Operations Supervisor)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Print Shop Manager to join our on‑site production team, overseeing large‑format and grand‑format printing operations. The role ensures efficient workflow, high‑quality output, and excellent client service across all print production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with shop leadership to provide operational and administrative management support.
• Organize and supervise the production workforce during regular and extended shifts.
• Monitor all jobs in production, communicating special instructions, proof approvals, and shipping details.
• Serve as the primary client contact for job specifications, print requirements, and production details.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to production cost guidelines.
• Train staff on proper print shop procedures, workflows, and equipment usage.
• Oversee maintenance and upgrades of large‑format printing equipment and recommend new technology.
• Manage inventory, materials, and supply organization to support efficient production flow.
• Resolve customer issues and escalations professionally and promptly.
• Support multiple departments and step into production roles as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• 3–5+ years of experience in print production, large‑format printing, or print shop operations.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising production teams.
• Strong customer service and client communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
