Principal Product Manager, Mobile

About the role

ButterflyMX is hiring for a Principal Product Manager to lead the mobile product experience for a new and growing area of the business. You’ll own the mobile experience for this surface area while solving the needs of property managers and operators within the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for this new area, evaluate scope, stress‑test assumptions, and evolve the plan based on learnings.
• Conduct rigorous discovery by engaging end users and operators, refining problem definitions, and iterating with Design and Engineering.
• Embed AI where it creates genuine value, using it as a lever for better experiences and smarter operations.
• Make strategic decisions about building, partnering, or white‑labeling solutions.
• Establish and own the metrics that matter, holding yourself accountable to them.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product management experience owning products from concept to market.
• Mobile‑first instincts with a track record of shipping sticky consumer apps.
• Comfort with ambiguity and early‑stage product challenges, making confident decisions with incomplete information.
• Strong discovery discipline: close customer engagement, qualitative synthesis, and clear product direction.
• AI‑native thinking: leveraging intelligent systems to improve experiences, staying current on technology capabilities.
• A builder’s mindset: prototyping, tinkering, and closing the loop between specifications and actual outcomes.
• Sharp communication skills to influence across engineering, design, go‑to‑market, and leadership without formal authority.
