Principal MRB/Liaison Engineer

Your working environment

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is a leading aerospace manufacturing site that produces large, advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite centre fuselage and wing spar.

Your challenges

• Perform complex stress calculations for metallic, composite and hybrid structures to support manufacturing concessions, repairs and modifications.
• Ensure Airbus methods, processes and procedures are followed and liaise with design, manufacturing and quality teams.
• Develop and maintain Technical Signature Delegation for primary and secondary aircraft structures across multiple suffixes.
• Check and pre‑approve stress justifications for non‑conformities or modifications.
• Mentor other engineers on metallic and non‑metallic structural repairs and manage workflow to meet customer timelines.

Your boarding pass

• Bachelor of Science in Aero, Civil or Mechanical Engineering with strong emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• 13 years of stress analysis experience on airframe structures, including metallic and composite design.
• Experience with airframe design, F&DT, SRM, MRB, certification standards (FAR/JAR/CS/Part 25), and tools such as CATIA, NASTRAN and PATRAN.
• Authorized to work in the United States and knowledge of Airbus structures.
