Primary Care Physician – Outpatient (Baton Rouge)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians to join its primary‑care network in Baton Rouge, LA. The position is an outpatient role with limited call and strong support from subspecialty teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary‑care services, including managing chronic conditions and routine visits.
• Utilize the refill center, LPN care coordinators, and remote‑messaging nurses to streamline prescription refills and reduce documentation burden.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Recent residency graduates or physicians with clinical experience are welcome to apply.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience using digital‑medicine platforms for chronic‑disease management.
