PR Account Manager – Beauty (LA/New York)

About the role

PURPLE is a global lifestyle communications agency that connects luxury brands with culturally relevant audiences. The agency is looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial Account Manager to join its thriving beauty division. Based in Chelsea, New York, you will work with a portfolio of luxury beauty brands such as Atelier Cologne, Dr. Jart+, Ilia Beauty and more.

Key responsibilities

• Creatively plan and execute PR campaigns, partnerships and events for North American and global clients.
• Develop key messages, Q&A documents and pitch ideas to secure editorial placements.
• Manage press events, product launches and desk‑side activities while overseeing campaign budgets.
• Lead day‑to‑day client communication, ensuring satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
• Coach junior team members, coordinate reporting, and evaluate campaign metrics.
• Leverage traditional, digital and social media to craft storytelling content and monitor industry trends.

Required profile

• B.S./B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field with at least 5 years of communications experience, preferably in beauty.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, work independently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with senior and junior colleagues.
• Deep interest and knowledge of the beauty industry and its social media landscape.
