About the role
The Wilkinson Lab at the University of Maryland, College Park seeks a Post‑Doctoral Associate to join an NIH‑funded project investigating how social stress, epigenetics, and immune function vary across the lifespans of multiple bat species.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze RNA‑seq and DNA methylation sequencing data from wild and captive bats.
- Assist with sample collection, both in the field and in laboratory settings.
- Plan, conduct, and publish original research related to stress, epigenetics, and immunity.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students and contribute to their professional development.
- Support data dissemination and preparation of manuscripts.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in biology or a closely related discipline by the start date.
- Strong background in bioinformatics, genomics, and evolutionary biology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team.
- Prior experience with DNA methylation analysis is desirable.

What we offer
