Polysomnography Technician (Night Shift)

About the role

Join the Sleep Center team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque as a Polysomnography Technician. You will work night shifts performing sleep studies, scoring, and supporting patient care in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all Polysomnographic Technician duties, including set‑up, monitoring, and scoring of sleep studies.
• Score polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests, and PAP naps.
• Assist in developing and revising Sleep Center policies and procedures.
• Communicate test results and procedural information to Sleep Center physicians.
• Train and supervise Polysomnographic trainees and technicians, overseeing testing performance.
• Participate in quality monitoring, supply ordering, and workload assignment.
• Teach patient PAP therapy classes and support patient compliance programs.
• Attend in‑service trainings and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited educational program recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
• RPSGT credential (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) as defined by the New Mexico Practice Act.
• Current BLS certification.

Required skills

• Polysomnography and sleep study scoring.
• Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) procedures.
• EPIC electronic charting system.
• PAP therapy education.
