Plant Director – Ames, Iowa

About the role

As a Plant Director you will lead a team dedicated to producing products that improve lives worldwide. You will drive operational excellence at the Ames, IA plant across environment, health, safety, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, cost, and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of employees focused on product manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational excellence by managing environment, health, safety, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, cost, and employee relations.
• Oversee plant EHS and security practices to meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Accelerate value creation through responsive end‑to‑end supply‑chain performance and prompt customer issue resolution.
• Develop strategic plans and budgets that drive sustainable improvements using disruptive technology, Lean Six Sigma, and employee engagement.
• Champion inclusive programs that create a great workplace for all employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of combined experience in quality, product/process/project engineering, or manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Demonstrated leadership of high‑performance teams and experience with Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
