Physician-Vice Chair of Northshore

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Physician‑Vice Chair of Radiology for the Northshore (Southshore) region. The leader will oversee imaging services across multiple hospitals, ensuring high‑quality diagnostic care, operational efficiency, and alignment with the health system’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional radiology operations, including physician engagement and quality initiatives across several facilities.
• Collaborate with the Chair of Radiology and hospital executives to develop and execute a unified vision for imaging services.
• Standardize and integrate radiology workflows to improve patient care, efficiency, and financial performance.
• Oversee imaging workflow optimization, reduce turnaround times, and enhance patient experience.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards such as ACR, TJC, and CMS.
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of radiologists and technologists.

Required skills

• Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Knowledge of AI‑driven decision support tools and emerging imaging technologies.
• Implementation and integration of new imaging equipment and technologies.
