Physician - Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking a BC/BE fellowship‑trained Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon to join our multi‑specialty group in Lafayette, Louisiana, and help expand the Gynecologic Oncology service across southwest Louisiana.

Key responsibilities

• Provide surgical care for patients with gynecologic cancers at multiple Ochsner sites, including Ochsner Baptist and the Cancer Centers in Baton Rouge, Houma, and St. Tammany.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary Tumor Board and collaborate with the New Orleans team for advanced case management.
• Enroll eligible patients in industry‑sponsored and cooperative‑group clinical trials.
• Utilize telemedicine to extend specialty care throughout the referral region.

Required profile

• Board‑certified/board‑eligible Gynecologic Oncology surgeon with fellowship training.
• Willingness to work as a partner in a collaborative, multi‑specialty practice.
• Ability to travel between Lafayette and New Orleans sites as needed.

Required skills

• Expertise in complex gynecologic oncology surgery, including robotic procedures.
• Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robotic system.
• Experience using telemedicine platforms for patient care.
