Physician - General Cardiology - Full Time Academic

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System – Monroe Medical Center & LSU Health Sciences Center are seeking a General Cardiology physician for a full‑time academic position. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and requires board certification or eligibility with active Louisiana medical licensure.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to develop customized patient care plans.
• Provide leadership and input at all levels of administration.
• Emphasize teaching and guide medical students and residents.
• Participate in clinical research and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology and eligible for active Louisiana medical licensure.
• Open to J1 and H1B visa holders.
• Appointment rank at Assistant or Associate Professor level.
• Commit to full‑time academic responsibilities including teaching and service.
