Physician - Gastroenterology Advanced Endoscopy

About the role

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible gastroenterologist with advanced endoscopy training to join its Department of Gastroenterology. The position is clinic‑based with dedicated endoscopy days in a state‑of‑the‑art endoscopy laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced endoscopic procedures using the latest EUS, impedance, pH and manometry equipment.
• Provide outpatient gastroenterology consultations and follow‑up care supported by a team of Advanced Practice Professionals.
• Participate in a weekly call rotation (1:5) covering clinic and hospital consults, with 24/7 hospitalist coverage.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Formal training and experience in advanced endoscopy techniques.

Required skills

• Endoscopy, including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
• Impedance, pH, and esophageal manometry testing.
• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
