Physician – Fully Remote Contract Position

About the role

Mercor is seeking a practicing U.S.-based physician to join a leading AI research lab on a remote, contract basis. You will apply your medical expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated medical content, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI research teams to assess and refine medical outputs generated by AI systems.
• Develop realistic diagnostic cases and create scoring rubrics for AI responses.
• Evaluate the accuracy, depth, and relevance of AI-generated medical content.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback to enhance training data and model performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.

Required profile

• U.S.-based, actively practicing MD.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong technical proficiency and ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
