Pharmacy Technician – Onsite, Iwakuni, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the U.S. Government at the military treatment facility in Iwakuni, Japan. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on referral management to aid medical management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and refining referral management processes for the MTF.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate specialty care referrals for clinical appropriateness, benefit coverage, and completeness according to MTF, DHA, BUMED, and TRICARE policies.
• Enter and retrieve patient information using Electronic Health Record (EHR), DEERS, and other referral management systems.
• Escalate complex referrals to physician advisors, medical managers, utilization nurses, or directors as required.
• Communicate pre‑authorization decisions between physicians and requesting providers.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual utilization reports, highlighting trends, resource use, and customer satisfaction.
• Present findings and recommendations to medical staff and leadership.

Required profile

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a military or government health setting.
• Familiarity with MTF, DHA, BUMED, and TRICARE referral guidelines.
• Ability to work onsite in Iwakuni, Japan, as a W‑2 employee (no sponsorship).
