Pharmacy Technician – Onsite in Iwakuni, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work onsite at the Military Treatment Facility in Iwakuni, Japan. The role supports U.S. Government healthcare initiatives by managing referral processes and ensuring compliance with TRICARE and DHA guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and refining referral management to support medical management initiatives.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate specialty care referrals for clinical appropriateness, benefit coverage, and completeness.
• Enter and retrieve patient information using Electronic Health Record (EHR), Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), and other referral management tools.
• Escalate complex referrals to physician advisors, medical managers, or utilization nurses within defined timelines.
• Communicate pre‑authorization decisions between physicians and requesting providers.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual utilization reports, highlighting trends, resource use, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews to evaluate clinical performance outcomes.

Required profile

• Willingness to work onsite in Iwakuni, Japan as a direct‑hire W2 employee.
• Ability to follow MTF, DHA, BUMED, and TRICARE policies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential health information.
• Eligibility to work in Japan without H‑1B sponsorship.
