Pharmacy Technician (Inpatient) – Multiple Levels

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking Pharmacy Technicians at various levels (I‑IV) to join its inpatient pharmacy team. This position supports medication preparation, dispensing, and delivery for hospitalized patients, ensuring safe and efficient pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense inpatient medications, including sterile compounding.
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventory control.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to verify orders and resolve medication‑related issues.
• Provide concierge prescription delivery on the main campus when required.
• Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Required profile

• Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System or eligible student/graduate assistant.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork.

Required skills

• Knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and medication safety.
• Ability to use pharmacy computer systems for order entry and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
