Pharmacist – Full‑Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time pharmacist to join the SoLe Mia pharmacy team. You will work in a clinical environment, ensuring safe compounding, dispensing, and management of medications for patients and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Compound and dispense medications prescribed by physicians and dentists, accurately measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Calculate medication volumes and verify dosage accuracy.
• Assess identity, strength, and purity of drugs and review prescriptions for correctness.
• Provide drug information, including interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage guidance.
• Analyze prescription trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent misuse.
• Maintain pharmacy records, inventory logs, and controlled substance registries.
• Advise patients on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and support team initiatives.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Valid State of Florida pharmacist license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
