About the role

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia is seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Pharmacist to support its new pharmacy department. This position involves preparing and dispensing medications, handling prescription inquiries, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Compound and dispense prescribed drugs, calculating accurate dosages and measuring ingredients.
• Maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, labeling, and disposal of pharmaceuticals.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, suitability, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide drug utilization reviews, advise on side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Maintain pharmacy records, inventories, and controlled substance registries.
• Respond to physician calls and assist customers with medication selections.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree.
• Relevant certification in pharmacy or specialty field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong analytical ability to collect, organize, and interpret data.
