Pediatric Cardiologist – Outpatient & NICU (Board Certified)

About the role

Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge is looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Cardiologist to join a busy outpatient‑based practice and partner with two experienced pediatric cardiologists. The position combines primarily outpatient care with inpatient responsibilities, including NICU coverage and pediatric cardiology consults at local hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric cardiology services, including diagnosis, management, and follow‑up.
• Deliver NICU patient care and perform inpatient pediatric cardiology consultations across affiliated hospitals.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiography and, when needed, fetal echocardiography.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the Ochsner Children’s heart center.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Strong background in transthoracic echocardiography; fetal echo experience preferred.
• Eligibility for J‑1 visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to work both outpatient and inpatient settings.
