Patient Transporter (PRN) – Part Time

About the role

The Patient Transporter (PT/Temp) transfers patients to and from various areas of the assigned facilities while delivering exceptional customer service. The role also contributes to patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve medical records, laboratory results, supplies, and medications for transport.
• Notify nursing staff when a patient leaves and returns to a unit, ensuring the chart accompanies the patient.
• Complete all transports within assigned time parameters and check oxygen cylinders for full, safe condition before transport.
• Collect specimens and blood products and deliver them safely to the appropriate department.
• Accurately check patients in and out of the transport system and restock supplies in assigned areas.
• Gather, clean, and disinfect patient‑care equipment and other reusable items.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
