Patient Educator

About the role

BioTAB Healthcare is seeking compassionate Patient Educators to conduct in‑home product trials and provide education on pneumatic compression devices for patients with lymphatic, wound, and circulatory disorders. You will work directly with patients, clinicians, and the regional team to ensure proper device setup, usage, and follow‑up, enhancing treatment outcomes and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process new patient referrals, gathering demographic, medical, and insurance information.
• Transport, set up, demonstrate, and retrieve equipment for home trials, providing clear usage instructions.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for DME services.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Conduct follow‑up calls or visits to monitor patient progress, address questions, and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the agency’s system, complying with CMS, OFCCP, and internal policies.
• Travel frequently within the assigned territory using a personal vehicle, adhering to safety and licensing requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
• Physical capacity to lift 40 lb, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and reach with arms.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Apple products.
