About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PRN) provides direct patient care at Colonel Glenn Clinic, supporting the nursing team with a variety of clinical tasks. This temporary, fixed‑term position is essential for maintaining high‑quality care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist nurses with patient assessments and vital sign collection.
- Obtain and process laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy.
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as ECGs, wound care, and patient positioning.
- Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection‑control standards for equipment and treatment areas.
- Provide patient education on basic health topics as directed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to work a PRN (as‑needed) schedule, including varied shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.
Required skills
- Measurement of vital signs.
- Phlebotomy and specimen handling.
- Basic ECG acquisition.
- Patient positioning and mobility assistance.
