Patient Access Specialist – Dental Clinic

About the role

The Patient Access Specialist supports the Dental Clinic by managing patient intake, scheduling, and insurance verification. This position ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients while maintaining accurate records and compliance with clinic policies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule dental appointments and coordinate with clinical staff.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations.
• Maintain patient records in the clinic’s electronic system.
• Answer patient inquiries via phone and in‑person.
• Assist with billing preparation and ensure accurate data entry.
• Support clinic workflow by managing patient flow and wait times.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health administration is a plus.
• Experience in a healthcare or dental office setting.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle confidential information.
• Legal authority to work in the United States.
