Part‑Time Teller – Forest Ave, Staten Island

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly and reliable part‑time teller to join its Forest Avenue branch in Staten Island. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking transactions while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, minimize wait times and assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other banking needs.
• Handle cash accurately, maintain cash‑drawer balances and follow all compliance and risk‑management procedures.
• Identify and refer customers to appropriate bank products, cross‑selling to deepen relationships.
• Use digital tools to educate customers on self‑service options and resolve routine inquiries.
• Support branch operations such as custodial duties, audits and occasional assistance to nearby locations.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and welcoming.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• Minimum 6 months demonstrated customer‑service experience.
• Strong listening, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible branch hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all transactions.
