Part‑Time Lifeguard – Wellness Center

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of patrons in the Wellness Center’s pool, spa, and therapy pool areas. This part‑time position supports Kingman Healthcare’s mission to provide top‑quality clinical care in a respectful and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all activity in pool areas and enforce pool rules, regulations, and policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe aquatics environment, including general cleaning and equipment upkeep.
• Monitor water quality in the pool, spa, and therapy pool and handle chemical testing.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, perform rescues, and complete incident reports.
• Provide excellent customer service and support pool programs and events.
• Participate in in‑service trainings and report any irregularities to management.

Required profile

• Lifeguard certification, First Aid certification, and CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS or Heartsaver with AED, or Red Cross with AED).
• High school diploma; college degree or background in physical fitness preferred.
• One year of lifeguarding experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Lifeguarding rescue and surveillance techniques.
• Operation of pool, spa, and therapy‑pool equipment and chemical testing.
• Strong swimming ability and clear verbal communication in emergencies.
