Part‑Time Security Guard

About the role

The Security Guard provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and hospital property. This part‑time position supports Kingman Healthcare’s vision of being a kind, high‑quality health system by protecting assets, personnel and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine interior and exterior patrols to identify security, safety or environmental risks.
• Monitor and control access to facilities in line with hospital policies and visitor guidelines.
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances and safety concerns using approved de‑escalation techniques.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter unsafe behavior and promote a calm environment.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including fire alarms, medical emergencies and hospital safety codes.
• Support patient safety initiatives such as elopement prevention and protection of vulnerable populations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, logs and required security documentation.
• Operate hospital security systems and communication equipment according to training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; must provide diploma or official transcripts upon hire.
• Be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Obtain and maintain an Arizona DPS Unarmed Guard License within 90 days of hire.
• Complete de‑escalation training and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, and to remain calm in high‑stress situations.

Required skills

• Operation of security and surveillance systems.
• Basic computer skills for incident reporting and routine communications.
