Part‑Time Lecturer – Department of Medical Sciences

About the role

The Department of Medical Sciences at Northeastern University seeks part‑time instructors to teach courses in the Physician Assistant, Healthcare Leadership, and Extreme Medicine programs. Instructors will deliver lectures, recitations, and laboratory sessions to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course content, including lectures, recitations, and labs.
• Prepare examinations, assessments, and related course materials.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and hold office hours.
• Collaborate with faculty and departmental leadership as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant specialty.
• Professional experience and prior college‑level teaching experience.
• For PA program teaching: graduate of an accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and a relevant master’s degree.
• For physician teaching: ABMS or AOA board certification and licensure (or eligibility) in Massachusetts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer technology.
• Database management skills.
• Experience with electronic records systems.
