Part‑Time House Manager / Family Assistant

About the role

We are a busy family of five looking for a proactive part‑time house manager to keep our home running smoothly. You will focus on meal preparation, household organization, errands and light vehicle upkeep, working 2–3 days per week and finishing by 5 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 4–5 fresh or batch‑cooked meals weekly, keep fruit and veg pre‑pped, and maintain a stocked pantry.
• Handle all grocery shopping (in‑person or online) and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Lead ongoing home organization projects, daily resets, and prepare the house for weekly cleaners.
• Manage inventory, run Amazon/subscription orders, and take care of returns, dry‑cleaning and ad‑hoc errands.
• Provide light backup childcare when needed and coordinate family appointments.
• Schedule and track vehicle maintenance, registration, insurance and handle fueling and cleaning.
• Perform occasional deep cleans, seasonal swaps, and oversee vendor quotes for home repairs.

Required profile

• Proactively see what needs to be done and act without being asked.
• Genuine enthusiasm for cooking and pride in delivering healthy meals.
• Anticipate household needs before they become problems.
• Work independently, thrive without micromanagement and never add to the family’s mental load.
• Highly organized, reliable and punctual; able to manage multiple stairs and a smoke‑free environment.
• Comfortable engaging warmly with young children in a lively home.
• Experience managing a household, organizing systems or supporting a family in a similar capacity.
