Part‑Time House Manager and Family Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a calm, reliable person to keep our busy household running smoothly. The role is part‑time, flexible weekday daytime hours, supporting two parents, two children, a grandmother, and senior cats as we transition to a new home.

Key responsibilities

• Laundry & linens: wash, fold, put away family laundry, manage bedding and towel rotation, occasional ironing.
• Household organization & maintenance: daily resets of common areas, oversee cleaning staff, maintain organization systems, handle small repairs and seasonal décor swaps.
• Inventory & errands: restock pantry and supplies, manage mail, recycle, handle returns, dry‑cleaning, and gift coordination.
• Meal support: grocery shopping, prep fruits and vegetables, warm pre‑assembled meals, keep kitchen tidy.
• Administrative & personal assistance: prescription pickups, schedule medical/vet appointments, support calendar and budget tracking, assist with travel planning.
• Pet care: schedule and transport senior cats to vet/grooming, manage medication reminders and litter robot upkeep.
• Vehicle upkeep: schedule maintenance, perform weekly cleaning and organization of family vehicles.
• Family support: prep school backpacks, occasional backup childcare for the toddler, assist with school‑related logistics.
