Part‑Time Health Aide – GRHS (Savannah, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Part‑Time Health Aide to support patients at the Georgia Regional Hospital System (GRHS) in Savannah. This hourly position works an average of 29 hours per week on varied shifts and is not eligible for state benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Prepare clients for examinations and treatments.
• Transport patients to appointments and off‑site activities.
• Observe and document patient behavior, safety, and activity.
• Assist with medication identification, lab draws, and specimen collection.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams and crisis de‑escalation.
• Support unit cleanliness, safety rounds, and recreational activities.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience or relevant education providing direct care to mental health, substance‑abuse, or developmentally delayed individuals.
• Ability to work varied shifts and maintain patient safety.
• Completion of required state and national background checks.

Required skills

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation.
