About the role
The State of Georgia, through Central Georgia Technical College, is seeking a part‑time Food Service Employee to work in the Macon campus café. You will help prepare, serve, and clean up a variety of meals for students, staff, and visitors while ensuring food safety and a welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities
- Check daily menus and prepare food items according to standardized procedures.
- Serve meals at scheduled times and assist with special diet requests.
- Monitor hot and cold food temperatures and follow safety handling protocols.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, dishwasher, and cash register.
- Stock shelves, freezers, and coolers, and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Clean tables, chairs, and dining areas, and manage waste disposal.
- Perform cashier duties, handle cash and debit transactions.
Required profile
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel between Macon and Warner Robins cafés as needed.
- No formal qualifications required; preference given to candidates with prior food‑service experience.
