Part‑time English Tutor – Canton Campus & Online

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time English Tutor to support students at the Canton Academic Success Center and online via Microsoft Teams. You will work under the Director of Academic Success, helping learners improve their English skills both in‑person and virtually.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group English tutoring sessions on campus and through Microsoft Teams.
• Assist students with reading, writing, and communication skills to enhance academic performance.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.
• Collaborate with academic staff to identify student needs and tailor support.
• Adhere to normal business hours and follow college policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Associate degree in English or a closely related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Prior experience as a tutor or teacher.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work both on‑site at the Canton campus and remotely.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $15.00.
