Part‑Time Bartender

About the role

The Bartender leads the bar team, delivering exceptional service and craft cocktails for members and guests at The Madison Club. This part‑time position supports the overall food and beverage experience in a luxury resort setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee bar staff to ensure exceptional service, communication, and adherence to SOPs.
• Greet guests promptly, anticipate needs, and respond with urgency.
• Partner with Food & Beverage and Culinary leadership to create beverage pairings.
• Supervise training on drink preparation, POS usage, and bar set‑up/tear‑down.
• Manage bar inventories, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
• Craft cocktails, follow recipes, and ensure proper pour ratios.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages and wine pairings.
• Enter transactions accurately in the POS system and close sales according to policy.
• Maintain cleanliness, monitor perishable items, and uphold food safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Leadership experience in high‑end food and beverage operations.
• 2‑3 years of bartending experience in a luxury resort or private club.
• Knowledge of HACCP and ability to obtain a State Food Safety Certificate.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and service.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours as needed.
