Part‑time Art Faculty – Public School Art Education

About the role

The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College is seeking qualified individuals to join its Fine Arts faculty on a part‑time basis. The position focuses on delivering Public School Art Education courses to students across the college’s various locations, including online formats.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in public‑school art education curricula, both in‑person at off‑site sites and via virtual classrooms.
• Develop, update, and assess course materials, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback on student artwork and projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and collaborative initiatives within the Languages and Communication Department and the School of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
• Fulfill any additional duties assigned by the department chair or college administration.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in art education and a strong commitment to student success.
• Relevant academic credentials in art education or a closely related field (e.g., MFA, MA, or equivalent).
• Ability to teach effectively in diverse settings, including on‑site locations and online platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
