Parts Room Supervisor

About the role

The Parts Room Supervisor is a key figure in the factory maintenance program, responsible for managing all technical store areas and attendants. This role ensures spare parts are readily available, of the right quality, and maintained at optimal inventory levels to support maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly 5S storeroom and plan layout for efficient order picking.
• Organize staffing levels to provide adequate support for maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, purchasing, accounting, engineering, and operations to align cost and inventory strategies.
• Control slow‑moving and obsolete parts, monitor min/max levels, and manage ABCZ classification.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, variance analysis, and scrapping processes.
• Produce monthly KPI, inventory valuation, cycle count, and obsolescence reports for management.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for parts set‑up, replenishment, issue, return, repair, kitting, and inventory processes.
• Provide training to personnel on store procedures and ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years experience in a technical field within food manufacturing or consumer goods, including direct supervision of teams.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel for inventory analysis.
• Familiarity with TPM, preventive maintenance planning, and coordination of maintenance activities.
