Part-Time Social Work Assistant Instructor

About the role

The Social Work Assistant Instructor will deliver theory and practical training for Social Work Assistant students, using a variety of learning experiences. Classes may be delivered online or on‑campus, providing flexible instruction to support the program’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional instruction based on the approved course syllabus.
• Prepare curriculum, lesson outlines, and teaching materials.
• Evaluate student progress, grade examinations, and maintain accurate grade records.
• Attend in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Ensure safety and security standards are met in training areas.
• Assist with student retention efforts and meet with students, staff, and supervisors as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social work or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Social Work.
• Minimum three years of full‑time, paid, in‑field teaching experience or recent social work experience within the last seven years.
