Part-Time Skilled Trades Instructor for Workforce Education

About the role

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is seeking a part‑time Skilled Trades Instructor to deliver credit and non‑credit courses for its Workforce Education program. You will teach a variety of high‑demand trade skills, supporting both traditional students and secondary area career center participants.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver instructional content in selected skilled‑trade areas.
• Assess student performance through projects, exams, and practical evaluations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot workshop equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students pursuing trade certifications.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in one or more skilled‑trade disciplines.
• Prior teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred.
• Ability to work part‑time and manage classroom schedules.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
